Eskom announced on Friday that load shedding would be implemented on Sunday from 08:00 until 22:00.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile we do not anticipate that there will be a need to implement load shedding tomorrow [Saturday], there will be load shedding on Sunday from 08:00 until 22:00,\u201d Eskom said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis will be in an effort to build up reserves for the coming week. We would like to thank our customers for their patience and support in using electricity sparingly during the early morning and evening peak periods.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery little bit of savings goes a long way in assisting us to manage the demand and supply of electricity and to eliminate the need for load shedding.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn winter, the electricity demand peaks in the morning and evening as more electricity is used during these times.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appeal to all our customers to continue to reduce their electricity usage throughout the day, but to be aware of the need to save more during the peak periods from 06:00 to 10:00 and 17:00 to 21:00.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs temperatures drop, we urge electricity users to consider energy efficient ways of keeping warm,\u201d Eskom said.<\/p>\n
