JSE-listed ICT company ConvergeNet has\u00a0announced that its lead independent director, Mpho Scott, has resigned from the company.<\/p>\n
“[The] resignation comes\u00a0as a result of the changes occurring within the company with respect to the\u00a0change in control, as included in the offer circular prepared by the offeror\u00a0dated 19 March 2012, as well as due to an increase in work schedule pressures
\nthat Mr Scott is experiencing,” the group said in a statement.<\/p>\n
The announcement comes on the backdrop of significant restructuring at ConvergeNet after majority shareholders moved to take a controlling share of the company, leading to three directors stepping down.<\/p>\n
ConvergeNet has not yet appointed a replacement.<\/p>\n
“The company will address the appointment of a new lead independent director in
\ndue course to ensure compliance with King III and the JSE Limited’s Listings
\nRequirements,” it said.<\/p>\n
