An armed robbery of an ADT patrol vehicle in Junction Road in Johannesburg, Gauteng has been captured\u00a0on Google Street View.<\/p>\n
The Google Street View photos, which were taken in February 2015, show an armed robber pointing a gun at an ADT security guard parked in Junction Road.<\/p>\n
In line with Google\u2019s Street View policies, the licence plate of the robbers\u2019 BMW and the branding of the ADT patrol vehicle are blurred out.<\/p>\n
Theunis Kotze, a general manager at ADT, told MyBroadband that the incident was an opportunistic crime where an ADT officer was held at gunpoint by two criminals.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one was injured in the incident. The reaction officer\u2019s weapon was stolen,\u201d said Kotze.<\/p>\n
The police\u00a0along with ADT investigated the incident, but no arrests were made at the time.<\/p>\n
Kotze said the Google Street View pictures could assist in furthering the investigation, and will be looked into by the SAPS and ADT.<\/p>\n
