BusinessTech takes a brief look at these vehicles and a few other &#8216;cheaper&#8217; models currently for sale.<\/p>\n<p>The Datsun Go is ranked as the 20th most sold car in SA based on sales in August &#8211; 503 units. And while its popularity is understandable due to its price, it is a controversial chunk of metal due to the fact that its most basic model lacks any modern safety systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chery QQ3 &#8211; R93,900<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Chery-QQ3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-98191\" src=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Chery-QQ3.png\" alt=\"Chery QQ3\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Chery-QQ3.png 600w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Chery-QQ3-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Chinese manufacturer says that the Chery QQ3 0.8 TE starts from R79,900, however it has a price of R93,900 for its cheapest model which boasts 6.3\u2113\/100km but pushes out a modest 38kW from its 812cc engine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geely &#8211; R94,900<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Geely.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-98197\" src=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Geely.png\" alt=\"Geely\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Geely.png 600w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Geely-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Geely is another Chinese produced vehicle that comes under the R100,000 range, starting at R94,900 for a 1,342cc 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 63kW of power and 110Nm of torque.<\/p>\n<p>Fuel consumption for the LC is said to be at 6.9l\/100km, while the vehicle does include air bags and several other basic safety features.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Datsun Go &#8211; R95,200<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Datsun-Go.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-98195\" src=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Datsun-Go.png\" alt=\"Datsun Go\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Datsun-Go.png 600w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Datsun-Go-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With a starting price of R95,200 it includes a 1.2l Petrol &#8211; 50 kW engine and fuel consumption at 5.2 l\/ 100km.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t buy you airbags, but gives you &#8216;Spinal Support Front Seats&#8217;.\u00a0For a starting price of R108,200, the same car will provide airbags.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tata Indica LGi &#8211; R99,995<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Tata-Indica.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-98205\" src=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Tata-Indica.png\" alt=\"Tata Indica\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Tata-Indica.png 600w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Tata-Indica-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The India produced car has become rather popular since its launch in the country more than a decade ago (2004).<\/p>\n<p>The Tati Indica LGi is R99,995.61 &#8211; excl\u00a0 VAT, rising to R113,995 for a 1.4 MPFI producing 55.2 kW and 110Nm of torque.
