JSE-listed ICT services company, Datacentrix has been given the Competition Commission\u2019s green light for its purchase of Infrasol, an infrastructure design and deployment business.<\/p>\n
The deal will see the company bolster its existing network and communications, datacentre and outsourcing businesses, it said in a statement on (Monday 14 September).<\/p>\n
Pinnacle Holdings entered into an agreement with Datacentrix in April, to dispose of Infrasol for a maximum cash consideration of R85 million.<\/p>\n
Operational since 2009, Infrasol has amassed a vast in-house skills base that encompasses datacentre designers, electricians, splicers, wireman, general installers, genset mechanics, as well as Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Prince project management skills.<\/p>\n
Datacentrix CEO, Ahmed Mahomed, said: “The procurement of Infrasol allows us to consolidate and gain further traction within the amenities area of ICT, with the aim of becoming the end-to-end ICT solutions partner of choice within the local market.<\/p>\n
\u201cInfrasol\u2019s multiple national maintenance contracts will be supported by Datacentrix\u2019 service centre, including a highly agile, always-available service desk, ICT operations and security operations.\u201d<\/p>\n
Infrasol has moved into Datacentrix head office in Midrand with representation at the group\u2019s regional offices.<\/p>\n
