{"id":98695,"date":"2015-09-17T14:52:57","date_gmt":"2015-09-17T12:52:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=98695"},"modified":"2015-09-17T14:52:57","modified_gmt":"2015-09-17T12:52:57","slug":"zuma-takes-79-officials-on-russia-trip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/98695\/zuma-takes-79-officials-on-russia-trip\/","title":{"rendered":"Zuma takes 79 officials on Russia trip"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Jacob Zuma\u2019s working visit to Russia in May cost about R956 000, while his visit to China during the 2014\/15 financial year cost more than R800 000.<\/p>\n<p>In his written replies to Parliament on Wednesday, President Zuma said for the Russian visit between 8 and 9 May, he was accompanied by 79 officials from the Presidency and other departments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAir travel costs incurred by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation and the Presidency amounted to R179 124.93, while the accommodation of the entire delegation costed R627 630.54.
