Facebook set to launch a social network for using at work
Facebook at Work is set to launch in the coming months, according to an executive at the company.
A report by Reuters stated the service has been in tests since January.
Facebook at Work lets users create a work account that is separate from their personal Facebook account.
“With a Facebook at Work account, you can use Facebook tools to interact with coworkers. Things you share using your work account will only be visible to other people at your company,” said Facebook.
To set up a work account, your company must be using Facebook at Work.
“I would say 95% of what we developed for Facebook is also adopted for Facebook at Work,” said Facebook’s Julien Codorniou.
The company is also developing exclusive products for Facebook at Work, including security tools.
The service will be open to all companies once launched, and Facebook plans to charge “a few dollars per month per user” for premium services.
