South African builds a treehouse in the middle of London

 ·26 Jan 2016

Virgin Holidays has created a 35-foot high luxury South African treehouse on London’s Southbank, for one week only.

The treehouse is inspired by the Lion Sands Game Reserve treehouse accommodation in South Africa and was created by Hubert Zandberg, a South African interior designer based in London.

It has two bespoke bedrooms and features a range of tribal prints, a four-post plush bed and several one-off pieces of African sculpture.

Visitors can win the chance to stay in the installation and dine on a six course prepared by Masterchef contestant Petrus Madutlela.

VirgintreehouseThe treehouse includes a private balcony with sweeping views of the Thames and St Paul’s Cathedral.
