Range Rover Evoque convertible to be unveiled in South Africa
Jaguar Land Rover South Africa and sub-Sahara Africa is set to show off the latest model in its stable – the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – to a South African audience.
Land Rover’s first-ever convertible will also make its debut locally at the South African Festival of Motoring (SAFM).
According to AutoTrader, the convertible will be priced as follows:
- Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Coupé HSE Dynamic Si4: R879,200
- Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Convertible HSE Dynamic Si4: R888,300*
The group said that the Range Rover Evoque convertible will not be available to order until mid 2016.
The 2.0 Litre Si4 Petrol Automatic (177kW) boasts the following specs:
- Power: 177 kW
- Torque: 340 Nm
- Maximum Speed kph: 209
- Acceleration 0-100 kph in 8.6 seconds
- CO₂ emissions g/km: 201
The Jaguar F-TYPE SVR, the fastest and most powerful F-TYPE to date, will also be shown for the first time in South Africa.
Boasting a supercharged V8 producing 423kW and 700Nm, the car’s eight-speed automatic transmission enables the car to reach 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
Flat out, it will reach a top speed of 322km/h, Jaguar said.
SAFM starts on Wednesday, 31 August 2016 and runs through to Sunday, 4 September 2016.
