Thousands of people, comprised primarily of members of South Africa’s opposition parties and civil organisations, gathered in Pretoria on Wednesday 12 April in a National Day of Action against President Jacob Zuma.
The march which happened to coincide with both President Jacob Zuma’s 75th birthday and axed Finance minister Pravin Gordhan’s 68th birthday, started at 9am at Church Square in Pretoria with protesters then marching their way to the union buildings.
