FNB has acknowledged problems with its electronic services which are preventing customers from swiping or withdrawing money.

“Soooo embarrassed now! My card got declined.. Why! Cos FNB’s whole system is down!” one user said on Twitter.

FNB’s customer service representative on Twitter, Rbjacobs, posted the following message to the social network:

“Please accept our apologies #FNB Banking Systems are currently experiencing intermittent service availability. We will update you asap.”

This latest outage follows large-scale incidents in 2012 that caused transactions to be declined and left customers unable to draw money.
