Symantec appoints new SA lead

Anti-virus software group Symantec announced it has appointed Nick Christodoulou as its new country manager in South Africa.

Christodoulou  will be responsible for growing Symantec’s consumer, commercial and enterprise business, while strengthening cooperation with partners.

He will report directly to regional director Gordon Love, who oversees Symantec’s business across the vast region of Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META).

“Raising the level of security awareness for users and educating businesses about how they can better manage critical information to ensure business continuity are top priorities,”  said Christodoulou.

Christodoulou has in excess of 15 years experience working in IT where he has held various sales and marketing leadership positions covering South Africa and East Africa.

Prior to Symantec, he served as regional partner manager for EMC where he advanced the success of the company’s key partners and cross-functional team.

He also served as GM for AxizWorkgroup where he developed sales strategy for its respective enterprise solution vendors.
