Hooker says that home entertainment and home appliances are key focus areas for the company – and this will not change in 2012.

“In terms of the home entertainment division, we are focusing our attention on 3D technology and Smart solutions, such as the LG Cinema 3D Smart TV,” said Hooker.

“From the home appliances side, we are focusing on LG’s 4-core technologies, which include LG’s Inverter Direct Drive in their latest washing machines; linear compressor technology in the latest LG refrigerators; lightwave technology in the LG SolarDOM oven; and new CharcoalHeater Lightwave oven and Kompressor technology in the latest LG vacuum cleaners,” said Hooker.

Home entertainment products and home appliances are LG’s most popular products in South Africa. “Our TVs are sought-after products because they are of the highest quality and feature the latest in 3D and Smart technology at an affordable price,” says Hooker.

“Our LG Cinema 3D TVs are selling very well since their release last year. We are confident that this trend will continue thoughout 2012,” says Hooker.

LG is also planning to strengthen its ‘3D=LG’ image by ranking number 0ne in the global 3D TV market.

“LG will also lead the Smart TV industry by continuously enhancing its own Smart TV platform, NetCast,” says Hooker.
