In this Business Talk with Michael Avery interview, Dini Nondumo, Head of Commercial Insurance at Standard Bank Insurance, discusses business resilience in South Africa’s shifting risk environment.
In his current role, he oversees strategic and operational execution in one of South Africa’s most competitive insurance markets.
Nondumo previously served as the Executive Manager of Distribution and Sales at Land Bank Insurance Company, from 2015 to 2020.
Before that, he was the Managing Director at a Hollard Group Risk Select Partner called Dimaru, offering insurance and employee benefit products.
Nondumo’s earlier career includes roles as Managing Director of OneCard Technologies and CEO of Motlalepula Investments.
He has also served on several company boards, including Gransolar and Mistico Boabab Production, and held the position of Deputy Chairperson of the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Sandton-Midrand Region) from 2013 to 2015.
Nondumo holds a Master of Management in Entrepreneurship degree from Wits Business School, a Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSc) from the University of Cape Town, and a Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance from Milpark Business School.
