The interview

In this Business Talk interview, Myers discusses how local and overseas markets fared in 2025, noting whether investors who continued to invest benefited.

Myers explains what allowed South Africa to enter the 2026 financial year from a position of improved macro stability rather than stress, and how this will impact local investments.

She notes where the effects of improved credibility will first appear and what the realistic outlook is for offshore investments in 2026.

Myers concludes the interview by unpacking what a sensible portfolio construction looks like going into 2026.
