Eskom prepaid system suffers technical glitch

Eskom said on Thursday that prepaid customers may have been experiencing a slow‚ intermittent or offline service when buying prepaid electricity “because we are currently running our back-up system as we are attending to a technical problem with our main Prepaid Vending System”.
It said customers should be able to purchase prepayment electricity at all the normal vending outlets during this time.
“Eskom apologises for any inconvenience‚ and we would like to assure all prepaid customers that we are doing everything possible to make the system fully functional again‚” it said in a statement.
