The Department of Home Affairs also receives lots of backhaul connectivity options from MTN, including:
- LTE Services
- VSAT
- Flat panel antennae
- Fibre
A powerful relationship
MTN’s partnership with SITA over the past five years has also included the provision of a layer-2 transmission network that forms an important part of the SITA Core Network.
As part of this project, MTN has played a key role in stabilizing the SITA Core Network’s 55 sites, and it has delivered significant redundancy, too.
Furthermore, MTN helped SITA refresh its old equipment – reducing the number of faults or repairs needed to keep its core network running smoothly.
Moving forward, MTN is excited about the possibilities of working with SITA to deliver more digital solutions that help the South African government improve service delivery nationwide.
