The human condition in the age of AI
As a keynote presenter, Naidoo will unpack the state of the human condition in the age of AI.
He explains that AI’s capabilities are increasing, and we are approaching an era in which AI factories will power enterprises for decades to come.
Furthermore, AI is already eliminating “no joy” work, saving employees several hours daily to focus on more important tasks.
However, he warns that a mindset change is needed to embrace a new age where AI becomes a core part of daily life.
Naidoo highlights the four key areas where people will need to change their mindsets as AI evolves:
- Talent – Demand for AI talent significantly outpaces supply.
- Misinformation – Impersonation and identity fraud facilitated by AI run rampant, and we need to find ways to counter this.
- Regulations – AI has major ethical and social implications that regulatory bodies must address.
- Governance – Data must be monitored to ensure its quality and accuracy while also removing any biases that may exist within it.
“AI has the potential to raise our humanity,” said Naidoo.
“To ensure that AI benefits society, rather than hampers it, we must change our mindset towards this important technology and find ways to make it work for us.”
