Capitec’s Live Better rewards expand to support everyday South African spending

Capitec is building on the success of its Live Better rewards programme – recently ranked the best Financial Service Loyalty Programme for mass market consumers in 2024/5 by the Truth and BrandMapp Loyalty Whitepaper – with an expanded partner network, deeper insights, and a continued focus on helping South Africans get more out of every rand.
With over 6.5 million active users, more than 30 retail and service partners, and a simple model that rewards clients for spending and banking better, Live Better is reshaping how value is delivered every day.

Over 30 partners and growing
The Live Better partner network now includes more than 30 brands, and continues to grow. Each partner is carefully selected based on data-driven insights into how and where clients spend — ensuring meaningful, relevant value for Capitec’s 24 million clients, especially the 13 million app users who transact, shop, and save regularly.
Among the latest additions is Boxer, a national grocery chain trusted for delivering great value and community focus.
With 4 million Capitec clients already shopping there and 12 million clients buying groceries up to three times a month, the partnership offers targeted value through monthly savings, cash back, and Boxer B Rewards.
Together, this is helping South Africans make their grocery budgets go further, especially when every cent counts.
“We know that roughly 12 million of our clients buy groceries about three times a month. That’s just the starting point,” adds Goldsworthy.
