Auto&General has been ranked as the most customer-centric short-term insurance brand in South Africa.

The accolade is based on findings from the 2025 Customer Experience Index, a large-scale research project overseen by University of Pretoria Professor Adré Schreuder.

A total of 6,384 South Africans participated in the study, sharing their views on different insurers and product offerings.

The Index evaluated criteria such as customer expectations, lived experience, perceived value, satisfaction, loyalty, and problem-resolution capabilities.

With a score of 73.7, Auto&General outperformed the industry average of 69.5 by a significant margin.

Schreuder noted that such a clear lead above the industry benchmark is uncommon in this sector.
