JSE-listed ICT company, Gijima has appointed Maphumuzana Nxumalo as its new chief operating officer and as an executive director, effective 1 July 2014.

The group has also placed Bheki Khumalo as its new human resources executive, effective from the same date.

Nxumalo joins Gijima from T-Systems, where he held the position of vice president of systems integration before moving to strategic business development in the same role.

He has previously held leadership positions for Unisys, National Research Foundation, Face Technologies, Ariel Technologies and served as COO for SAP before his move to T-Systems.

“We look forward to welcoming both Nxumalo and Khumalo to our executive leadership team,” said Gijima CEO, Eileen Wilton.

“They both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to Gijima and their excellent track record will be a worthy asset to Gijima.”

Wilton said the duo will help execute the company’s turnaround strategy.
