DiData launches global cloud services

Dimension Data announced today (23 February 2012) that it has launched a range of cloud services aimed at making it easier for businesses to adopt cloud computing.

According to Steve Nola, CEO of Dimension Data’s Cloud Solutions Business Unit, the services being launched are intended to assist companies in managing the complexity of  “migrating to the cloud.”

Also announced were the Managed Cloud Platform (MCP) and CloudControl, which serve as platforms for delivery and managament of the cloud services respectively.

The launched cloud Services include cloud enablement; cloud and system integration; Compute-as-a-Service (CaaS) virtual servers; managed hosting and services; as well as application services.
