He is also a founding member of the South Africa Association for Bioethics and Health Law.
Kirby boasts extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution processes and specialises in healthcare, constitutional, and environmental law.
Thanks to this expertise, Kirby frequently advises on healthcare legislation – including the National Health Act, the Medicines and Related Substances Act, the Pharmacy Act, and the Health Professions Act.
Kirby is also a member of the World Association of Medical Law and the International Bar Association (IBA).
He was named a leading lawyer for healthcare and regulation by Best Lawyers International and in dispute resolution by Chambers Global.
Kirby has a Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Laws, and a Certificate in Environmental Law from the University of the Witwatersrand.
