MTN launches 1c per second call rate
MTN has announced that it has adjusted its MTN Pay Per Second price plan base data rate from R2 per megabyte to 79c per megabyte – a reduction of more than 60 percent.
As of the 1st of June 2014, existing Top Up customers who upgrade or new customers signing up on MTN AnyTime Top Up or MTN Off Peak Top Up price plans will also benefit from a standard 79c per MB for ad-hoc data usage.
MTN has also introduced a promotional price plan called MTN 1c Per Second which is available for MTN Prepaid and Top Up customers across all local networks.
These customers pay 1c a second or 60c per minute for voice calling and have a standard data rate of only 99c per megabyte.
The MTN Talk Free price plan gives customers additional value when making a call and talking for long periods of time. The standard data rate is 99c per megabyte.
Effective from 1 June, customers on MTN AnyTime, My MTNChoice, and MTN Off Peak will enjoy a reduced rate of 99c per MB for all ad-hoc data usage.
The MTN 1c Per Second and MTN Talk Free price plans are promotional price plans and will be available until 31 August 2014.
