Vodacom’s Romeo Kumalo steps down

Vodacom has announced that Romeo Kumalo, chief operating officer: International Business will step down from the company at the end of the month.

“It is with regret that I announce that Romeo Kumalo, Chief Operating Officer: International Business, will be leaving the company at the end of May to join his family business.

“We will announce Romeo’s successor in due course,” saidVodacom CEO Shameel Joosub.

Kumalo joined Vodacom in 2004, and serving in many positions including executive commercial director and MD of Vodacom Tanzania.

Kumalo also served as GM at SABC 1 prior to his move to Vodacom, and station manager at Metro FM.

“I would like to thank Romeo for his contributions to Vodacom and wish him all the best for the future,” Joosub said.
