Foschini Group takes Totalsports and DueSouth online

 ·5 May 2015

The Foschini Group (TFG) has announced that three of its major national retailers, Sportscene, DueSouth and Totalsports will go online in July 2015.

TFG launched its omni-channel retail technology in November 2014, taking homeware store @home (home.co.za) and mobile and cellular store hi (hi-online.co.za) online.

The aim is to bring on board all 17 TFG retail brands by 2018, including Fabiani, Markham and @homelivingspace.

“Adding our sports lifestyle brands was the logical next step in growing the TFG mall, where consumers can now shop outdoor, urban and performance goods, along with homeware and electronics all in one bag,” said Robyn Cooke, head of eCommerce at TFG.

Features of the three brands’ new e-commerce stores will include pre-order functionality, as well as shoppers being able to add events straight from the web page into their calendars.

TFG said that its digital strategy is expected to deliver 5% of turnover by 2018.

The online shopping platform will use payments company PayU for transactions, and shoppers will be able to use their store cards and credit cards.
