Popular shopping centre in South Africa’s richest city going on auction next week

 ·6 May 2026

The popular Bram Fischer Shopping Centre in Randburg, Johannesburg, will be auctioned on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

According to Aucor Property, the shopping centre is a well-established, multi-level, mixed-use development comprising a lower ground, ground, and first-floor configuration.

The centre integrates retail, office and medical components. The ground floor is home to several nationwide retailers, including Checkers and Postnet.

Food outlets at the mall include a drive-thru KFC, Wimpy, Debonairs Pizza and a popular local takeaway spot, Fish. A host of smaller line shops are also found within the shopping centre.

The first floor features an office and medical suite, arranged around a central reception foyer, offering a host of professional and healthcare services.

The lower ground level offers additional retail units, storerooms, and service areas. Aucor said that this mall is a “functional, integrated centre with strong tenant diversity and efficient circulation.”

The mall is an established neighbourhood centre with long-standing occupancy. It also has a strategic location and high visibility, given that Bram Fischer Drive is a major arterial route.

The mall also has easy access via key routes such as Malibongwe Drive and Jan Smuts Avenue in Johannesburg. It is also in close proximity to the N1 Western Bypass via nearby arterial links.

Aucor said that the centre is a commercial investment opportunity with a current projected gross
annual income of around R15.1 million.

The mall has extensive backup infrastructure, including generators, water storage, and solar energy systems.

The mall is also in close proximity to major retail, state, and commercial developments, including the Multichoice Head Office, Cresta Shopping Centre, the Randburg Home Affairs office, and more.

Aucor said that the site is multi-tenanted with around 96% occupancy, which includes new and proposed tenants and extensions, mostly in terms of long-term leases with long-standing and reputable tenants.
