FoneWorx, a listed telecoms and IT solutions provider, has acquired a 35% stake in BMI Research for an undisclosed fee.

BMI was the result of the 2008 merger of BMI Foodpack and Adcheck Research, specializing in quantitative and qualitative consumer and industrial research in various sectors, including the retail market.

In May, FoneWorx also acquired a 44% stake in market research company, Living Facts, for an undisclosed fee.

Living Facts was formed in 2001 as a market research corporation providing Quantitative and Qualitative services.

BMI provides research into a number of sectors and industries including Apparel, Automotive, consumer packaged goods (CPG), financial, foodservices, ICT, manufacturing, packaging, raw materials, retail and wholesale.

FoneWorx said it will continue to look at other similar acquisitions in the development of this new strategic direction and the accumulation of the necessary skill sets.
