How much it costs to drive 100km in South Africa’s most popular bakkies
South Africa is set for another petrol price decrease next week as the country gears up for the December holidays.
Mid-month data from the CEF shows an over-recovery of around 35 cents per litre for petrol and four or five cents per litre for diesel.
This will take the official petrol price down to R14.05 for 93 octane, and R14.23 for 95 octane. While Diesel (0.05% sulphur content) is set to cost you R14.19.
While it is impossible to accurately track exactly how much petrol you will consume due to factors such as traffic and road quality, it is possible to get a rough estimate of how exactly these petrol prices will impact you current petrol allowance based on manufacturer estimates.
BusinessTech looks at how much it will now cost you to travel 100km on South Africa’s roads right now the based on Naamsa’s latest list of bestselling bakkie data for October 2020.
