Vodacom launches massive Black Friday sale
Mobile operators Vodacom and Rain have launched Black Friday sales and promotions.
Vodacom’s deals went live a minute after midnight on Friday (4 November), with the group offering phones, TVs, laptops, routers and SIM-only specials on 24 and 36-month contracts.
In addition to big brands like Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Hisense and Alcatel, the operator also has specials on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as SIM-only contract specials. The deals run through to 1 December 2022.
Overall, the company has almost 3,000 products marked as on sale for Black Friday.
Starting from the 4th of November, and for four consecutive Fridays during the month of November, customers get Black Friday deals ranging from heavily discounted mobile and fibre contracts, tech wearables, contracts bundled deals with laptops, routers, gaming consoles, accessories and more.
As part of the Black November launch offers, Postpaid customers will get 75% off the 30GB recurring anytime data bundle at the price of just R175 per month when adding it to a new contract. Prepaid deals are expected in the next few weeks.
Vodacom Business customers can get Business Internet capped and uncapped deals for as little R249, as well as SIM-only deals on a selection of RED Business plans, all available online and in-store.
There will also be exclusive VodaPay deals on offer throughout the month. Consumers are encouraged to download VodaPay to enjoy a range of fantastic deals available in the digital mall.
New VodaPay customers will be able to enjoy time-limited Vodacom-specific deals, such as the 1GB bundle for only R1. Existing VodaPay customers will get 70% off selected mobile data bundles on the Just4You menu accessible via VodaPay.
For customers who aren’t interested in new devices but want access to the data network for holiday, work-from-home or family package purposes, it has three SIM-only deals on offer for Black Friday:
While Vodacom’s Black Friday or Black November deals are already live, other mobile operators are also running specials or plan to.
MTN is counting down to its Black Friday sale, with plans to launch its deals on 18 November 2022.
Rain, meanwhile, is running a special all throughout November where you can join the network for R1.
The promotion launched on 24 October and will run throughout November, ending on the 30th, and applies to specific unlimited 4G and 5G packages.
When you purchase a 4G or 5G package on the promotion, you will pay a R1 joining fee, and you will not be liable for payment for usage in your first billing cycle.
Vodacom and Rain join several other retailers who have launched early Black Friday sales, including Woolworths, Incredible Connection, Hirsch’s, Hi-Fi Corp and Edgars.
