Telkom appoints Internet Solutions CTO
Telkom chief technology officer Alphonzo Samuels announced to staff on Thursday, 20 November that Prenesh Padayachee would become Telkom’s new managing director for wholesale services from 1 January 2015.
Padayachee currently holds the position of CTO at Internet Solutions.
“Prenesh has also worked for NBS Bank and IBM,” Samuels said.
“Apart from his vast knowledge of the broad network technology environment, as well as strategy formulation and execution, Prenesh has experience of both executive and board level responsibilities,” he added.
Padayachee holds a National Higher Diploma and has completed Management Advancement and Global Leadership programmes.
“I have no doubt that Prenesh’s knowledge and experience are ideally suited for the MD: Wholesale Services position at a time when Telkom continues to strategically reposition the Wholesale business with the goal of achieving an access agnostic network,” Samuels said.
“During my discussions with Prenesh he emphasised that he looks forward to the excitement of working for a company that is reinventing itself and that is so determined to push ahead with its programme of transformation,” said Samuels.
