In this Business Talk with Michael Avery interview, Yashika Satgoor discusses how partnerships are shaping Vodacom’s transition from a telco to a techco.
Satgoor is the Executive Head of Ventures and Partnerships at Vodacom Business and boasts almost two decades of experience working in challenging leadership roles in the information technology, mobile telecommunications, higher tertiary education, engineering, manufacturing, and financial services sectors.
In her current role as Executive Head of Ventures and Partnerships, Satgoor is responsible for developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives for the company and subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Vodacom in 2022, she worked in roles at notable companies such as:
- Gijima – Head of Strategy and Retentions
- PIH GROUP LIMITED – Group Director of Programmes
- MTN SA – Head of Programme Management
- Munich Re – Senior Project Manager
Along with this, she worked as a Programme Manager for the University of the Witwatersrand for nearly three years.
Satgoor boasts a BA Honours in Development Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand, a Bachelor of Social Science in Law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and a Programme Management Professional Certification from PM Ideas.
