Standard Bank mobile apps still down
·2 Sep 2014
Standard Bank is working to restore its mobile services as the bank continues to be hit by technical problems.
The group tweeted early on Tuesday (2 September) that, while it had restored its banking services, its mobile banking apps were still unavailable.
“We are working to get these up & running, apologies for the inconvenience,” the bank said.
Despite the claim, many users are still reporting that some services remain unavailable.
This follows massive technical issues on Monday, which saw banking clients unable to make payments, withdraw money, or access their accounts online.
Standard Bank said that the system failure was caused by a hardware failure.
