FNB offers exclusive whiskies to richest clients

First National Bank is offering its private and platinum banking clients through its online Whisky Live Festival Shop.

The offer is limited, with only a few select whiskies available from 5 to 6 march, while stocks last.

The bank is offering the Signatory Vintage Imperial Single Malt Scotch Whisky for R670 a bottle, with two pricier options in the form of the Glenfiddich Age of Discovery Single Malt Scotch (R1,399) and the Balblair 2000 Highland Single Malt Scotch (R1,490).

Only 168 bottles of the Balblair 2000 have been produced, and 102 of them are available through this offer.

FNB runs the annual Whisky Live Festival, which includes its own licenced online whisky store. The festival caters to over 20,000 “high-LSM’ whisky lovers, according to the group.

The 2015 festival will be running from Friday 11 November to Sunday 13 November loater this year.

Makro made waves in 2014 by offering the limited edition bottle of Chivas’ Royal Salute Tribute to Honour for the “promotional” price of R2 million.

While that offer is no longer available, the wholesaler is still selling the Balvenie 50 year old Speyside Single Malt Whisky for R539,999, exclusively online.
