A look at The Arch – a stunning R600 million development planned for Umhlanga
Umhlanga in KwaZulu Natal is set to experience a development surge over the next few years, including a stunning new R600 million mixed-use development called Umhlanga Arch.
The Arch is being developed by Multiply Property Holdings, and will cover 45,000 square metres, including 163 apartments (30 of which will be loft apartments).
The development will comprise residential and commercial facilities, including a hotel, with residential space selling for approximately R30,000 – R45,000 per square metre.
Upon completion, the developers plan to have the following facilities:
- Concierge
- Rooftop pool and bar
- Piazza with restaurants
- Premium branded gym
- Top motor dealership
- Retailers
- Business centre
- 24 hour security
- International hotel group
The KwaZulu-Natal north coast is undergoing enormous growth. Tongaat Hulett Developments recently revealed its intention to create a new city midway between Umhlanga Rocks (4km) and the King Shaka International Airport (10km), and 23km from the Durban CBD.
The Sibaya Coastal precinct is expected to inject R50 billion into the local economy, and will be developed over the next 15-20 years.
