Jewell is the Head of Retail, Life, and Savings for Liberty Group South Africa, and has worked for the company for 19 years.

Prior to his current role, Jewell held multiple key positions at Liberty – including Acting Managing Executive for Retail Solutions, Group Executive for Individual Arrangements, CRO, and Chief Actuary.

Jewell was also a Director for Quindiem Consulting for four years before joining Liberty, and entered the insurance industry as a Deputy Development Actuary for Swiss RE.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Statistics and Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand.
