Huge appoints new financial director

AltX-listed Huge Group has announced that David Deetlefs has been appointed as the investment and holding company’s new financial director.

Huge Group is the holding company for managed telecoms provider, Huge Telcoms, and digital media company, Huge Media. Huge also owns a 77% stake in mobile advertising firm, Eyeballs Mobile.

Deetlefs joined Huge Telecom in a consulting capacity in November 2011 and was appointed as managing director of Huge Business Support on 1 March 2012.

Deetlefs will take over the position of financial director from 1 October 2012, assuming the role from Neil Wensley, who has resigned from the company with immediate effect.

Prior to joining the Huge Group, Deetlefs held a number of senior executive positions within the ICT sector, including CFO of the Glocell Group, CFO of the listed Unihold Group, and chairman of the companies within the Unihold Technologies division.

In addition to assuming responsibility for the group’s financial function, Deetlefs will remain responsible for the management of the company’s commercial and operations functions, which will continue to report to him.
