These are the weapons SA criminals use to terrorize us
Criminals have an iron grip on South African society, with statistics showing that we rank among the world’s worst when it comes to murder.
The reality and atrocity of criminal behaviour is often lost or watered down by the sheer of volume of crime committed on a daily basis – through statistics.
The South African Police Service has, however, shared a number of sobering images of the weapons it has already confiscated in the country in 2016, as a reminder.
The images were posted by the SAPS on its Twitter account and show weapons of varying sophistication, from pangas to home-made shotguns to AK47s.
