FlySafair launching R11 ticket sale – launch date and time 

FlySafair has announced that it will bring back its birthday sale in 2025, with tickets selling for just R11. 

In a statement on Tuesday (6 May), FlySafair said it’s celebrating its birthday with its massive annual flight sale on Wednesday (7 May 2025).

It added that the sale will start at 09h00 and end at 23h59, and the airline will sell 50,000 seats across its domestic flight network at R11 each.

FlySafair said this price also includes airport tax, to celebrate its 11th year of operations in South Africa. 

The airline noted that the sale will take place exclusively on FlySafair’s website, which can be found here.

“As with previous sales, the airline will once again have a waiting room to protect the website and customer sales experience,” said FlySafair.  

“Throughout the sale, the waiting room will provide access to a select number of lucky customers who will then have 10 minutes to complete their purchase.” 

The airline said those in the waiting room can search for flights using the R11 Fare Finder and enter FlySafair’s Free Flights for a Year competition. 

“To pass the time, customers can also play a new waiting room game, Flappy Plane. Please note the FlySafair App will be available for normal bookings, for those not looking for a R11 ticket.”
