Telkom Mobile MD search continues
Telkom says that the recruitment process for the appointment of the head of Telkom Mobile is still underway.
“An announcement in this regard [the appointment of a new Telkom Mobile head] will be made once this process has been concluded,” Telkom said.
Telkom CFO and acting Telkom Mobile MD Jacques Schindehutte said in June that a permanent Telkom Mobile MD appointment was expected within a month.
“We have a number of options on the table,” he said at the time adding that the list contained both oversees based, and local candidates. “We will be taking a decision in the next month.”
This did not transpire, possibly because of uncertainty regarding the company’s future. A government announcement on the options available for the struggling company is expected imminently.
