Telkom partners with Dion Wired

Telkom has announced a partnership with Dion Wired to make its broadband services more accessible to customers.

“Retail channels remain the predominant channel for customer purchases and are therefore key to Telkom’s strategy to increase market reach and provide convenience and easy access to our products and services,” said Manelisa Mavuso, Managing Director: Consumer Services and Retail.

Telkom has started a pilot project involving Dion Wired stores at Gateway in Durban, Woodmead in Johannesburg, and Canal Walk in Cape Town. The aim is to test the concept before commencing national roll-out.

Each of these stores now has a Telkom counter where customers can order our high-speed broadband services.

“In this way, we aim to capitalise on the synergies at the point of purchase where customers buy their PCs and laptops, gaming consoles, internet TVs, tablets and cellphones,” said Manelisa.

This pilot project with DionWired followed an earlier announcement about Telkom’s partnership with Samsung where customers are offered Telkom broadband packages as part of their Smart TV purchase.
