Brian Armstrong appointed to the board at Huge Group
Former Telkom chief commercial officer Brian Armstrong has joined Huge Group as a non-executive director.
“Dr Armstrong has more than 30 years of top level management experience in telecommunications, IT, technology research, and development and systems engineering,” said the company.
“He is widely regarded as a thought leader in digitalisation, convergence, and business strategy.”
The move to Huge Group follows Armstrong’s recent appointment as professor in the Chair of Digital Business at Wits Business School.
Before joining Wits in July 2017, he served as group chief operating officer and group chief commercial officer at Telkom.
Armstrong completed his BSc (Eng) and MSc (Eng) at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1982 and 1984 respectively, and obtained his PhD from University College London in 1992.
