MTN appoints former Sasol CFO to its board
MTN Group has announced the appointment of Kandimathie Christine Ramon as an independent non-executive director to the Board, with effect from 1 June 2014.
Ramon is currently a non-executive director of Lafarge based in Paris, France and also
serves as deputy chair of the Financial Reporting Standards Council in South Africa.
She currently also serves on the Financial Reporting Investigation Panel, an advisory panel of the JSE Limited.
Ramon resigned from her position as executive director and chief financial officer of Sasol, in September 2013, having served for a period of seven and a half years.
She is a former non-executive director of Transnet Limited and Johnnic Communications Limited.
Ramon holds a BCompt and BCompt (Honours) degrees from the University of South
Africa and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990.
She also completed the Senior Executive Programme at Harvard Business School in conjunction with Wits Business School in 1999.
