Logicalis appoints former Logica and BT executive

Datatec, the international ICT group, has appointed Gary Bullard as chief executive of Logicalis Group, its IT solutions and managed services division, with effect from 1 March 2014.

Bullard will succeed Ian Cook who is retiring as CEO, but who will become non-executive chairman.

Bullard has substantial international experience in the IT and telecoms industry spanning more than 25 years.

In his most recent role he was UK CEO and President of Australia, Middle East and Asia for Logica, now part of CGI, the Canadian based global IT services company.

Prior to this, he was MD of BT PLC’s corporate business unit and President, BT Global Services.

Bullard also served in senior executive positions in IBM including GM, IBM Global Services EMEA and GM, IBM Global Solutions, a $12 billion unit based out of New York.

Jens Montanana, Datatec’s chief executive said: “I am delighted that someone of Gary´s calibre and international industry experience is joining us to lead Logicalis which has become a significant global business with revenues of over $1.5 billion and profits in the first half of FY2014 up 45% to some $33 million.
