Datatec subsidiary buys iConsult

 ·14 Oct 2013

Datatec, the listed ICT group says its subsidiary Logicalis Group, has acquired iConsult, a Channel Islands based provider of hosted desktop and mail solutions.

The purchase will be made through Logicalis´ wholly owned local subsidiary Logicalis Jersey.

Datatec says that the transaction will strengthen the current IT services positioning of the
business which is ideally suited to fiduciary customers headquartered in the Channel Islands.

Almost all iConsult’s annual revenues of approximately $2.0 million are annuity in nature. iConsult will be integrated with Logicalis’ existing Channel Islands operation.

Jens Montanana, Datatec’s chief executive said: “This acquisition adds scale to the Logicalis Managed Services offering in the Channel Islands which it acquired through the acquisition of the European subsidiaries of 2e2 in March this year.

“We can now deliver cloud- based & hosted desktop and BYOD services to a larger customer base in the Channel Islands and increase Logicalis´ revenue annuity base.”
