Sun City just completed a R1 billion face lift – here’s what it looks like inside
South Africa’s most famous resort and casino, Sun City, has just completed its R1 billion face-lift which was started earlier in 2016.
The Sun City refurbishment included the revitalisation of four hotels, the entertainment centre, and food and beverage outlets at the resort.
Renovations extended to the Valley of Waves too, with the introduction of two new slides, and now also offers new food options – including a “microbrewery-themed gastro pub” called The Brew Monkey.
In hospitality, the group said that the Sun City Hotel – now branded as Sun Soho – will play host to “always on” party zones, including a night club, a burlesque club and more restaurants – while its other hotels will be refurbished, with some getting an entirely new look.
The famous Palace at Sun City now includes two new exclusive “invitation only” high-end casinos – The Palace Villa and The Palace Salon.
Below are a few images of the refurbishment, including the new developments.
