South Africa’s Twitter user with the most followers is online celebrity Caspar Lee, followed by cricketer AB de Villiers, and comedian Trevor Noah.
Twitter is one of the largest social networks in the world, with 271 million monthly active users and 500 million Tweets sent per day.
The influence of Twitter users is often measured by the number of followers they have, and here singer Katy Perry leads the race.
Perry currently has 57.5 million Twitter followers, followed by Justin Bieber with 54.9 million, and Barack Obama with 47 million.
South Africa’s top Twitter users
English-born South African vlogger, actor, and Internet personality Caspar Lee is South Africa’s top Twitter user with 1.92 million followers.
Lee is followed by comedian Trevor Noah with 1.56 million followers, and cricketer AB de Villiers with 1.41 million.
