Vodacom appoints new executive
Vodacom has appointed Godfrey Motsa as the new chief executive of its consumer business unit.
Motsa replaces former executive, Phil Patel, who is moving to Vodacom as regional commercial director for Africa, the Middle and Asia-Pacific.
Patel joined Vodacom in July 2012 having previously held the position as chief of enterprise business unit at Vodafone Turkey.
He has held a number of senior commercial and marketing positions at Vodafone since 2004 when he first joined the Vodafone group. Prior to joining Vodafone, he had been the director, enterprise server products for Dell in Asia.
Before moving to the new role, Motsa served as chief officer of regional operations at Vodacom, having moved over from the position of MD at Vodacom Congo in 2014.
