Finding the right use cases for technology
Celiwe Ross, Group Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer at Old Mutual, will be among the many speakers at the event.
She highlighted that AI is a disruptive force in business, particularly for organisations where there are a lot of complexity and compliance challenges.
“For us at Old Mutual, and many other major listed companies, the opportunity lies in something that is going to deliver business value,” said Ross.
“I really believe that successful adoption will occur when AI becomes embedded in the core processes that we run.”
She also spoke about the first step corporate leaders should be making to transition from pilots to progress.
“Be open to what experimenting means, whether individually or in their teams and eventually organisations,” she said.
“Experimentation is built on trust. Trust in yourself, and trust in your employees in being able to do what they need to do.”
Brandon Birchak, CEO and Founder of Elite Performance Design, also addressed the media ahead of the summit.
He believes that AI and technology can play a critical role in improving the average human’s healthspan.
Birchak explained that his organization is focused on helping people develop more lung tissue.
The result is improved breathing health, and Birchak will expand upon this topic at The Singularity South Africa Summit 2026 2026.
