Eskom suspends load shedding for the day – here’s the updated schedule
Power utility Eskom says that lower demand has allowed it to suspend load shedding today (26 August) during the day – but blackouts are likely to return in the evening.
Loadshedding was suspended from 12:50 this afternoon until 16:00 due to lower-than-expected weekend demand.
Stage 3 load shedding will be implemented from 16:00 today until 05:00 on Sunday, followed by Stage 1 load shedding until 16:00.
Eskom noted that it would publish another update should any significant changes occur.
